千王之王重出江湖

A |     (ECNS)-- The Pinglu Canal, China’s first major river-to-sea canal included in a national development plan, began live-ship trials on Wednesday, marking the final major test before the waterway opens to traffic.    The trial is the first comprehensive test to cover the canal’s entire navigable route using multiple types of vessels, and is intended to verify navigation safety and operational readiness ahead of its official opening.        Four representative vessels ranging from 1,000 to 5,000 metric tons are taking part in the trial along the canal’s main route.    Technicians will assess navigation stability, ship lock operations, anchorage areas, service facilities and navigation signaling systems under a range of operating conditions.     Construction of the canal is now more than 98% complete. As a key infrastructure project of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, the Pinglu Canal is scheduled to officially open to traffic in September.    (By Helen Mo, intern Lin Qiaochu)                    。

B |     China's Ministry of Commerce on Wednesday announced a decision to take countermeasures against six U.S. entities.     These countermeasures, which took effect on Wednesday, were adopted in response to the United States' sanctions against Chinese companies under the pretext of so-called "forced labor," according to the ministry.    The U.S. move seriously violates international law and the basic norms of international relations, and gravely undermines China's sovereignty, security and development interests, the ministry said.    The six U.S. entities subject to the countermeasures are Applied DNA Sciences, Inc., Stratum Reservoir, LLC., Altana Technologies, Inc., Responsible Business Alliance, Verite Group, Inc., and Human Rights in China. They assisted and supported the United States' unlawful Xinjiang-related sanctions, the ministry said in a statement.    Organizations and individuals within China are prohibited from engaging in any transactions, cooperation or other related activities with these six entities, the decision noted.                    。
